Beacon’s Helo Hancock Recognized by Idaho Business Review

Beacon Clinic is pleased to announce that Helamore “Helo” S. Hancock, CEO of Beacon Clinic, has been chosen by the Idaho Business Review to be on their “Power List” as one of the top 50 most influential business leaders in Idaho in the healthcare field.

The Idaho Business Review is dedicated to covering high-value business news for the State of Idaho, providing analysis and information to help businesses connect, stay current, learn, and share their perspectives on the things that affect Idaho’s marketplace. One of the features of the publication is putting together “Power Lists” to highlight the work and accomplishments of Idaho business leaders in a variety of fields. This year, Idaho Business Review has chosen Helo to be one of the featured leaders in their December issue, which focuses on leaders in healthcare.

Helo Hancock has been at the helm of Beacon Clinic since April of this year, and already he is making his mark on the practice, shepherding an expansion of Beacon’s services to cancer patients throughout Coeur d’Alene and northern Idaho. But he is definitely not new to the healthcare field.

Helo’s journey toward becoming CEO of Beacon Clinic was a bit unusual. His career started in law, rather than healthcare. He is a graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law, and started working for the Coeur d’ Alene Tribe first as a legal intern, then as an in-house attorney, and later as legislative director. He has chaired the Indian Law Section of the Idaho Bar Association and has also served on the Native American Law Advisory Board for the University of Idaho College of Law.

In 2017, his career with the Coeur d’Alene Tribe shifted to healthcare when he was named CEO of Marimn Health. Marimn Health is the product of a tribal and municipal partnership that was established to provide high-quality primary, dental, vision, fitness, and behavioral healthcare services to members of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe. Today, it provides these comprehensive health services not only to members of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe but to all residents of the area. Under Helo’s leadership of a team of 300, Marimn Health expanded and improved its services, and helped to guide its journey toward becoming the premier health provider in all of Benewah County. Marimn Health was also recognized as one of the region’s “Best Places to Work” from 2018 to 2021, thanks to Helo’s management skills and professionalism.

Helo’s experience, dedication, and success in managing Marimn Health made him an easy choice for Beacon Clinic when they were seeking a new CEO to oversee Beacon’s efforts to grow its practice. Although Beacon has already made its mark in quickly becoming the foremost provider of comprehensive cancer care for cancer patients in the region, it is currently planning to expand even further. Beacon has tasked Helo with moving the practice into the future by forming strategic alliances with more cancer treatment centers throughout the country, expanding the scope of services it can offer in-house, identifying and establishing additional locations, and increasing its ability to serve more patients.

The recognition of Helo by Idaho Business Review is no surprise to the staff at Beacon, and further confirms their conviction that Helo is the right person to see Beacon through the next phase of its growth. For further information about Beacon Clinic and the services it offers, call us today
