Treatment Plans
Personalized for You

Beacon offers cutting-edge cancer and blood disorder treatments, including onsite chemotherapy infusions, immunotherapy, and oral chemotherapy, as well as treatments for rheumatic diseases. We partner with local and national radiation and surgical oncology teams, and have close ties with the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, University of Washington, Huntsman Cancer Institute, and Mayo Clinic.

Beacon has an integrated approach to treatment and care, providing infusion, phlebotomy, and supportive services in the same facility as patients’ doctor visits. We also have an in-house oral dispensing service that allows patients to pick up their oral chemotherapy and other prescriptions without having to go to the pharmacy.

We welcome you and your loved ones to experience a new approach to cancer care.

Beacon Cancer Care Radiation Therapy
Radiation Therapy

Radiation therapy uses carefully targeted and adjusted doses of high-energy radiation (e.g., photons and electrons) to kill cancer cells or slow their growth through multiple mechanisms, most commonly by DNA damage.

Sometimes radiation causes cancer cells to die rapidly during treatment, but most of the time it occurs over several weeks to months, with the DNA of the cancer cells becoming damaged to the point that the cells stop dividing and eventually die. There are also many benign, non-cancerous conditions that radiation can be used to treat as well. Some of the radiation treatment methods/techniques Beacon will be utilizing are:

  • Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT)/Volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) with RapidArc
  • Image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT)
  • Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT)
  • Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS)
  • Electron beam therapy
  • 3D conformal radiation therapy (3DCRT)
WEIGHT LOSSIMMUNOTHERAPY
Immunotherapy

Beacon Clinic is committed to delivering the most advanced and cutting-edge treatments, and immunotherapy is currently at the forefront. Immunotherapies target your body’s own immune system, allowing it to identify and fight cancer. Immunotherapies generally work in one of two ways: (1) By boosting the natural defenses of your immune system to make it work harder and smarter to locate and attack cancer cells; or (2) By making substances in a lab that are similar to components of the immune system and using them to help improve how your immune system identifies and attacks cancer cells.

CHEMOTHERAPY
Oral Chemotherapy

Chemotherapy is a type of medicine that works to fight against and destroy cancerous cells. There are many types of chemotherapy and various ways it can be administered. One way is oral chemotherapy in the form of a pill or liquid. Our team will work with you to determine the best type of chemotherapy to combat your cancer.

You can also take advantage of our in-house medically integrated dispensary to receive your oral chemotherapy and supportive medications quickly and conveniently, with the ability to pick up medications and receive any necessary counseling right at the clinic.

SUPPORTIVE SERVICES
Targeted Therapy

Targeted therapy is a type of anticancer treatment, similar to chemotherapy, that specifically targets the cancerous cells in your body. This treatment has been shown to be more effective in treating cancerous cells while leaving healthy cells largely unaffected because it works to identify and stop the growth of existing and potentially dangerous cancer cells.

Clinical-research
Clinical Trials & Research

Beacon Clinic is proud to offer participation in clinical research trials to our patients. We believe that making this option available to patients is an important component of ensuring that we are providing the highest level of care.

While clinical trials may be available for patients meeting certain eligibility criteria, they are not necessarily appropriate for every patient’s clinical situation. However, they do offer the possibility of being able to receive innovative and cutting-edge therapies before these treatments are approved by the FDA for general use in the United States.

Supportive Services

At Beacon, we know that battling cancer goes beyond medicine. Keeping a patient in good spirits and supporting the patient and their loved ones through the process is an important part of a patient’s care plan.

We recognize the value of supportive services, including nutrition, rehabilitation, financial counseling, care coordination, palliative care and more. We work closely with other medical professionals and industry experts to ensure an integrative approach that suits each patient’s individual goals of care. We also have support groups for patients, caregivers and others, and we even have a weekly infusion room visit from a certified pet therapy dog.

We are always looking for ways to provide our patients an elevated experience, and we are dedicated to supporting them every step of the way.
